On Saturday, 19th October 2024, Cohort 1 of the Tech4Her mentorship program held its close-out session, marking the completion of an intensive 16-week training (4 months) in web design, UI/UX, data analysis, and digital marketing.
This cohort, comprised of diverse participants—including secondary school certificate holders, undergraduates, employed professionals, and unemployed graduates expressed their excitement and confidence in scaling the job market and digital economy with their newly acquired skills.
The event was graced by notable dignitaries, including Pastor (Mrs.) Bimpe Mfon, Founder of the PEM Foundation, and distinguished members of the Board of Trustees: Pastor Ayo Adeboye, Pastor Seye Kosoko, and Mr. Buchi Njere, Executive Director of TIE Communications Limited.
A highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of projects by the graduates, showcasing their practical expertise gained during the programme. These included:
• A compelling video testimonial on the Tech4Her programme produced by the Digital Marketing class.
• Creative graphic designs developed as part of the Digital Marketing coursework.
• Advanced data analysis presentations utilizing Power BI, Tableau, and Excel to interpret diverse datasets.
This event underscores the impact of the Tech4Her initiative in empowering young women with digital skills, advancing career opportunities, and contributing to a more inclusive tech ecosystem in Nigeria.
