As the Senior Pastor of the City of David, Head of the Apapa Family group of churches and Provincial Pastor of RCCG, Lagos Province 4, Pastor Eskor initiated innumerable innovative programmes designed to spread the gospel and impact society’s underprivileged.
Notable among these programmes are the following:
- A CAN Can Make a Difference, a weekly feeding initiative ensuring that Lagos’ most impoverished would not go hungry.
- He is Lord Praise Hour, an hour-long Friday service dedicated to worship
- Lazarus Come Forth, a powerful healing and deliverance service
- Nicodemus Sunday, aimed at bringing fresh converts into the kingdom
- Hallelujah Sunday, encouraging congregants to offer extravagant praise to God
Leading the creation of Fortress School Project, an organization aimed at educating a cross-section of Nigeria’s under -represented groups, the first two schools are located in Ifewara and Akwuzu.
In addition to these initiatives, Pastor Eskor showed a devotion to arts and education projects in the following ways:
- Being one of the first to bring into Nigeria foreign gospel music acts such as Mary Mary, Kirk Franklin, Helen Baylor, Daniel Winans and ministers including John Haggee, Jackie McCullough, Apostle H.D. Wilson, Cyndi Jacobs and Bishop Trotter.
- Producing the first theatrical production chronicling the life of Bishop Samuel Ajayi Crowther, an iconic historical figure and the first Nigerian Anglican Bishop
- Fostering the development of creative talent through personal scholarships
- He commissioned Zik Zulu to produce HEAVEN’S GATE, a TV series that aired for many years on Nigerian television. Beyond this, he championed creative talent through scholarships and support for budding artists.
