Pastor Eskor Mfon, was a dynamic spiritual leader, devoted philanthropist and an innovative entrepreneur. He was born on 18th March, 1953 in Lagos, Nigeria to Mr.Asuquo Ima Mfon, a Marine Engineer with Nigeria port authority and Amah Evelyn Mfon (nee Dadzie), a matron at the General Hospital, Lagos. He was the first of five children.
While his father hailed from ishie town, Calabar, Cross River State, his mother was part Ghanaian from the Dadzie family of the cape coast of Ghana and part Cameroonian from the Haddison family of Victoria, Cameroon. Sadly, he lost his parents at an early age: his father died when he was 14 and is mother died shortly after when he was 19.
He received his primary school education (1961-1965) at Ladi Lak Primary School, Yaba. He then attended King’s College, Lagos (1966-1972) for his secondary education. From here he proceeded to Anglican boys Grammar school, Bariga for his A-level (1971-1972). A year later, he gained admission to study English at the University of Ibadan, where he graduated with a B.A(HONS) in 1976. By this time ,he was popularly known as Eskor Lee.
